Ally Pally

Alexandra Palace or ‘Ally Pally’ is a North London landmark. Built in the late 19th Century as ‘The People’s Palace’, it has had its ups and downs in terms of use and upkeep of the building but is currently undergoing a renaissance with the recent restoration of the Victorian Theatre.

The views are great but don’t photograph particularly well – it’s too featureless – but it is a good vantage point to record the drama of London’s weather – oncoming storms, harsh sunrises, mottled skies.
